A Cross Cultural Project
This paper is eco friendly, being made from cotton scraps sourced from the garment industry. No wood or toxic chemicals are used in the production of these products. At the moment humans destroy an unbelievable 149 acres of forest per minute! One tonne of handmade paper saves an estimated 277 eucalyptus trees! Not only does this paper benefit the environment, the handmade quality of the paper is beautiful and produced in clean airy SEDEX certified workshops in Jaipur, India.
This beautiful image depicts the sandhills of Damien's Country - Mt Leibig towards Papunya. When you see the hills from a distance the wind blows through the sand making the hills move and change form. The wind makes rippes & undulations and ridges in the sand in the same shapes and patterns that can be seen in this painting. In betweeen the sandhills are dry claypans and rockholes
