The Mountain Pepperleaf is native to moist temperate forest areas in Tasmania, Victoria, Southern NSW and the ACT. It grows in the subtropical regions of the east coast of Australia.
A sharper alternative to everyday pepper, with earthy overtones.
The leaves and the berries are dried & milled and used to flavour sauces, chutneys, meats, cheeses, pate, breads, dampers, pastas etc.
The leaf of this spicy aromatic bush is dried, ground and ready to use. It's high in folate & is a good source of magnesium, zince and calcium
Use you would conventional pepper.
