About the Artist
Nathan Patterson is a proud Wagiman man from Torquay, Victoria. Diwana is the name of Nathan’s son and also means “Wedge-tail Eagle” which is his totem symbol. Nathan’s style is a mixture of indigenous symbols and western brush strokes, while using a modern colour palette. His art speaks of the ancient Dreamtime stories of his people while drawing from his love of the bush and its wildlife. Nathan’s art brings us back to our connection with nature and reminds us of our beginnings.
