Cross Cultural Projects
Bridging the economic, creative and cultural gap between Aboriginal artists & global artisans through the arts enterprise. Taking themes from their original painting, Aboriginal artists have created the design which appears on this exclusive product. Designed in Australia, reproduced (hand painted and lacquered) in Kashmir under Australian supervision.
About the Artist
Pam Hall Baribunma (meaning 'to dream about' in Bundjalung) is a descendant of the Bundjalung Nation and the grand-daughter of Aboriginal activist, the late Jack Patton. Entirely self taught, Pam is inspired by dreamtime stories, passed on to her from Grandmother during her childhood in Baryulgil, north of Grafton. Vivid combinations of pastels and ochres, dynamic lines and bold shapes characterise her modern designs.
