the Little Black Game Pack by De Greer Yindimincarlie for Yindiartz
fun Indigenous symbols educational games Designed by Australian Aboriginal artist De Greer Yindimincarlie, from the Wiradjuri Nation of central New South Wales, the Game Pack uses Indigenous art to demonstrate aspects of cultural life and beliefs.
The Little Black Game Pack can be used by children of all ages thanks to its versatile design. Every pack contains 36 cards (2 of each symbol and 4 spirit cards) along with instructions for 3 games called ‘Hunt’, ‘Gather’ and ‘Catch’. Children can enjoy learning these new games, which enhance memory development, or simply use the cards for an old-fashioned game of Snap.
Every card displays and explains a bright, colourful symbol with a connection to Indigenous culture. Young children will admire the vibrant illustrations, whilst older children can extend their learning to look for other representations of symbols in Indigenous art or stories.
The cards are printed on sturdy 310gsm card stock with a gloss coverage, making them robust and long lasting, even with regular game play. Buy multiple packs to extend your play into longer games or games for a whole class group. Match the cards with a set of individual seating mats to create the ultimate players' circle at home or at school.
