There lived a blind man in the bush with his wife who requested his wife to hunt Emu Eggs for him to eat. The lady went to the bush to hunt and couldn’t find any emu. Knowing that her husband is hungry, she kept searching and she found a huge emu there and threw stones at it to get at the eggs, but it stood up and ran towards her and killed her. The blind man came out worried and hungry, walked down the bush and found some berries which helped him to gain his vision and made his way to find her wife and found her dead by the big emu. He killed the emu with his spear and expeled the spirit of emu to the milkway. Emu egg is a very colourful design created by Audrey Napanangka. Her artwork is vivid and strong.
